Legal terms and conditions for using DroneAdHub's 10-minute aerial advertising platform and private event hire services

DroneAdHub Service Types

Understanding our dual-service platform model

Tiered Slot Events (10-Minute Shows)

Public events with fixed pricing tiers (Anchor, Gold, Silver, Bronze). Book multiple slots for your business advertising needs.

Private Event Hire

Direct operator matching for private celebrations like weddings, birthdays, and corporate events. Custom pricing based on requirements.

Platform Services & Agreement

Service Agreement

By using DroneAdHub, you agree to these Terms of Service for both our tiered slot advertising platform (10-minute shows) and private event hire services. These terms govern all interactions between businesses, drone operators, and DroneAdHub across Canada.

  • • Platform Scope: 10-minute aerial advertising shows with tiered pricing (Anchor, Gold, Silver, Bronze slots)
  • • Private Services: Direct drone operator matching for private celebrations with custom durations
  • • Geographic Coverage: All Canadian provinces and territories
  • • Regulatory Compliance: All services must comply with Transport Canada regulations and seasonal constraints
  • • Seasonal Constraints: Winter shows (December-March) limited to 8-10 minutes; Summer shows up to 13 minutes

Important Service Distinction

DroneAdHub operates two distinct service models: tiered slot system for 10-minute public event shows, and direct operator matching for private events with flexible durations. Different terms, pricing, and processes apply to each service type.

Payment Terms

General Payment Terms

  • • Payment Processing: Secure payment via Stripe upon slot booking
  • • Drone Operator Payout: Paid after successful event completion
  • • Multiple Slot Bookings: Combined into single payment transaction

Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • • Weather Cancellations: Full refund if operator cancels due to unsafe weather conditions
  • • Event Cancellations: Full refund if public event is cancelled by organizer
  • • Client Cancellations (>7 days): Full refund minus 10% processing fee
  • • Client Cancellations (3-7 days): 50% refund
  • • Client Cancellations (<3 days): No refund (operator preparation costs incurred)
  • • Operator No-Show: Full refund + $500 inconvenience credit to client

💎 Private Event Hire Pricing

  • • Custom Pricing: Based on event duration, requirements, and location (no fixed tiers)
  • • Payment Schedule: 50% deposit upon booking, 50% before event day
  • • Operator Payout: Paid after successful event completion
  • • Cancellation (>14 days): Full refund minus 15% coordination fee
  • • Cancellation (7-14 days): 50% refund
  • • Cancellation (<7 days): Deposit forfeited, remaining 50% refunded
  • • Free Rescheduling: Up to 30 days before event (subject to operator availability)

Private Event Protection: All private event payments are held in escrow until successful event completion. Full refund guaranteed if matched operator fails to deliver agreed services.

Liability & Safety Requirements

Drone Operator Responsibilities

  • • Transport Canada Compliance: Valid pilot certification and drone registration required
  • • Insurance Coverage: Minimum $2 million liability insurance for commercial operations
  • • Safety Protocols: Adherence to all Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
  • • Equipment Standards: Properly maintained and certified drone equipment with documented battery limits
  • • Seasonal Compliance: Acknowledge 8-10 minute winter limits, 13 minute summer limits due to battery performance
  • • Weather Assessment: Pre-flight weather checks and immediate cancellation if conditions unsafe

Platform Liability Limitations

  • • DroneAdHub facilitates connections between businesses and drone operators
  • • We are not responsible for drone operations, safety compliance, or event execution
  • • Drone operators are independent contractors responsible for their own operations
  • • Our liability is limited to payment processing (20% platform fee) and operator matching
  • • Maximum platform liability capped at amount of platform fee collected for the specific event

⚠️ Private Event Safety Disclaimer

For private events, the drone operator is solely responsible for safety protocols, obtaining necessary permits, coordinating with venue management, and ensuring Transport Canada compliance. Private event participants should follow all safety instructions provided by the drone operator. DroneAdHub's role is limited to operator matching and payment processing (20% platform fee).

Private Event Hire Terms

Service Process

  • • Request Submission: Clients submit private event details through our platform
  • • Operator Matching: DroneAdHub identifies and connects qualified operators within 24 hours
  • • Quote & Negotiation: Operator provides custom quote; client can accept or negotiate
  • • Direct Coordination: Client and operator coordinate event details directly after booking
  • • Payment Processing: 50% deposit at booking, 50% before event via DroneAdHub's secure system
  • • Event Execution: Operator delivers services as agreed with client
  • • Operator Payment: 80% of total cost released within 48 hours after successful event

Data Privacy & PIPEDA Compliance

  • • Private event information is subject to enhanced privacy protection
  • • Personal data is only shared with matched operators for coordination purposes
  • • Automatic data deletion 30 days after event completion
  • • Full compliance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act

Quality Assurance

  • • Operator Vetting: All matched operators are pre-screened for qualifications and experience
  • • Performance Monitoring: Client feedback system to maintain service quality
  • • Dispute Resolution: Dedicated support team for private event issues
  • • Service Guarantee: Replacement operator provided if original cannot fulfill commitment (when possible)

User Responsibilities & Conduct

Business Users

  • • Provide accurate company information and authorized payment methods
  • • Ensure advertising content complies with Canadian advertising standards
  • • Respect event guidelines and venue restrictions
  • • Honor slot bookings and fulfill payment obligations
  • • Provide advertisement content in requested format (image/video) at least 7 days before event
  • • Acknowledge that multiple slot bookings are combined into single payment transaction

Drone Operators

  • • Maintain valid Transport Canada certifications and insurance
  • • Provide safe, professional drone services as advertised
  • • Communicate clearly with clients about capabilities and seasonal/battery limitations
  • • Follow all applicable laws and regulations for commercial drone operations
  • • Accept payment terms as outlined in operator agreements

Prohibited Activities

  • • Fraudulent or misleading information in profiles or bookings
  • • Circumventing platform payment systems
  • • Harassment or inappropriate conduct toward other users
  • • Violations of Transport Canada regulations or local laws
  • • Advertising content that violates Canadian standards or promotes illegal activities

Dispute Resolution Process

  • 1. Direct Resolution: Users encouraged to resolve issues directly first
  • 2. Platform Mediation: DroneAdHub facilitates resolution discussions via email
  • 3. Formal Review: Documented review process for unresolved disputes (5-7 business days)
  • 4. Binding Arbitration: Final resolution through Canadian arbitration services if needed

Governing Law & Updates

Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

Terms Updates

  • • DroneAdHub may update these terms with 30 days written notice via email
  • • Material changes require explicit user consent for continued service
  • • Current terms are always available on our website
  • • Users will be notified via email of any significant changes

Service Modifications

DroneAdHub reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services (including pricing tiers, slot durations, or platform fees) with reasonable notice to users. We will work to minimize disruption and provide alternative solutions when possible.
